The five listens
1. Direct baseline - Start from one saved patch, one passage and one repeatable level.
2. Headphones - Hear the board without the room or speakers.
3. Speakers or monitors - Expose colouration from the playback system and room.
4. Solo recording - Hear what survives outside the playing moment.
5. In the mix - Find out whether the patch does its real job.
